Windrush Farms SL Invictus (Vic) was brought in this spring from the long admired Windrush Farms herd. We love his dam, CH Windrush Farms Neo Isabelle (EX 92 at 5 EEEE) who was 3rd/3rd udder 4 yr old at the 2018 National show. His sire’s dam is one of our favorite does of the Windrush Alpines, SGCH Windrush Farms IRS Saffron (EX 92 EEEE at 7 yrs) who was 4th /2nd udder 5-6 yr old at the 2012 National Show and a part of 1st place produce of dam at the 2010 National Show. Thank you Lena and Keith for this quality addition to our herd! His daughters have improved feet, length of body, mammaries are typically very similar to their dams. He has two daughters that have appraised Excellent at 2 years (GCH Kara Kahl Vic’s Aretha) and a 3 yr old in the Haycreek Herd (Kara Kahl Vic’s Annya). We freshened 1 additional daughter from Akebono who has freshened with a beautiful mammary system. We are retaining his doeling from Amal from this spring. He was collected one more time and used this fall before moving to Missouri in November. We do have semen available from him

Sire: Kickapoo Valley HL Lord Wimsy (EX 91 EEE)
Dam: GCH Kara Kahl PGL Arugula (EX 91 VEEE)
1-04 VVV 86
Arul is our last Arugula son as we lost Arugula following a very difficult kidding. He is tall, wide, correct and dairy. Arugula has been a tremendously consistent brood doe with six of her 8 milking daughters appraising 89 (GCH Aziz-FF) 90 (Annika), 90 (Aretha) 91 (Arywn), 91 (GCH-Aurora), and 94 (GCH Akebono). Additionally, her son, Atlas, sired the RCH Jr., 1st/1st udder milking yearling and 2nd/2nd udder 2 year old at the 2022 National Show. Lord Wimsy was an exceptional buck for the Roeburn herd, producing multiple EX 90+ and GCH (nine) offspring, being extremely consistent for General Appearance. Arul was collected this past fall and will be next fall as well. See pictures of Arugula and daughters under current does and reference alpines. His twin sister has freshened with a very well attached and productive mammary, appraised 86 VVVV and has been first 8 times including at the MN State Fair both as a kid and a yearling. His first kids are all very wide and correct and we are planning on using him on more does this fall. Our one keeper doeling earned her dry leg over 24 jrs this fall.

Early Rise Acres Side Hustle (3/11/2023)- 5/$125
Sire: Roeburn’s Legacy Quest
Dam: CH Early Rise Acres Sideline
1-04 VVV 87
Two years ago, Anna judged the Boone County Fair and put up this bucks’s dam GCH and afterwards told me I needed to order a buck from her. I was able to see her last year in person when Korey graciously hosted the Pre-TC at his farm. She was long, level, beautiful feet and legs, ideal teat placement and well attached mammary and a wide level rump- all things I want to reinforce in my herd. She had at least 2 legs towards her championship if not finished (unknown due to NG). She unfortunately contracted mastitis this spring, was unable to recover, so her show career was cut short between mastitis and Covid eliminating shows in 2020. His pedigree is full of consistent, well known purebred animals from Pleasant Grove, Roeburn’s, Windrush, Kickapoo Valley, Iron Rod, Pj Bailey’s and Hoach. We think he will compliment our herd very well. Huge thank you to Korey Statton for making this guy available to us! Pictures of relatives below. His first kids are level and correct in feet and legs- two things we really were looking for with this buck. His twin does from Akebono will be retained in our herd.

Side Hustle’s sire, Roeburn’s Legacy Quest, dam Roeburn’s Nikola Margeritte appraised VEEE 90 at 4 years of age in 2021. His sire, GCH Roeburn’s Legacy, has sired a number of CH and Excellent appraising animals and the 2017 Reserve National champion, Tempo Aquila Sailin’ Free and Tempo Handyman, a son who has multiple high appraising daughters and the 2019 GCH Jr. National Champion.
Kara Kahl Argento – 5/$150 -currently owned by the Hurricane-PM herd with a number of milking daughters. When asked about his daughters- she said: “teat placement has been good. Fore udders long and smooth. Rear udders about the same as the dam in height but adds width and balance when viewed from the side. Teats are medium to large size. I would say 15 to 20 % have large teats. He is adding length of body and Long necks that blend very smoothly into their withers. Rear legs and pasterns are pretty much whatever their dams have. On a super super level rump they are slightly steeper but still pretty and not steep just not as level as moms. On a very steep rump he levels them out significantly. I bred him to some 45degree angled rumps and the daughters are much better. Some of his daughters are a little hockey as kids. Not horrible but some. As they grow they get better and as milkers you don’t even notice at all. Oh and they have lovely personalities. Not hateful or biters like some alpines. We love him “
